EeliosSPN recently had the opportunity to interview Eelios, a spinoff of 21CSI, at their office located in the Scott Technology Center.

Eelios is leveraging, and taking to the commercial market, “intelligent” decision support software technology that 21CSI has developed and fielded for use in a variety of government programs. Through the adaptation of 21CSI’s technology, Eelios is bringing to market customizable applications for individual mobile/wireless and business enterprise customers with an initial focus on intelligent personal weather monitoring and alerting….all in all, some really cool apps for the iPhone and more!

Eelios’ initial commercial application, known as “Intelli-Weather,” provides real-time automated and personalized weather reports along with current and forecast weather alerts tailored for multiple pin-point locations that the user selects, instead of broad generalizations for a wide geographic area. The product also links with the user’s calendar, identifying which appointments or travel plans may be impacted by weather conditions, and automatically making suggested changes such as an alternative venue for an afternoon golf game or a different travel route.

Location-based “find me-follow me” tracking provides accurate up-to-the minute reports so that mobile users will always receive information that is relevant to their current location, without the need for manually entering location updates.
