Grant Stanley, co-founder of the marketing analytics firm Contemporary Analysis (CA), has set out to create a national entrepreneur directory, and he’s focusing his initial efforts on his home state of Nebraska.
“The CA Entrepreneurship Directory is a part of Contemporary Analysis’s commitment to encouraging entrepreneurship and innovation,” Grant wrote in an email announcing the survey.
The purpose of the directory is to connect entrepreneurs and innovators to network, share ideas, collaborate, and socialize. CA ultimately hopes that the directory will help encourage entrepreneurship and innovation.
Set to be published next month, survey participants will receive an electronic copy of the directory, which will contain the names, phone numbers, email addresses, company names, and industries of the other participants. The results will also be used to help universities, cities, and states develop entrepreneurial programs.

Grant estimates that it takes at least 15 minutes to complete — I took the survey this morning in just over 10. Before submitting it, you have the the opportunity to opt-out of being listed in the “General Public Directory.”
Also, I’d like to note that outside of announcing this effort, SPN is in no way affiliated with the survey or directory. When taking the survey, I encountered similar questions to ones we’ve asked before, such as, “Would you be interested in applying for incubator space?” Although we’d be interested in the results, we have not spoken with Grant about sharing this data.
Check out Grant’s announcement, and if you’d like to participate, you can find the survey here: http://www.surveygizmo.com/s/161297/12f3t.
