1. What is the name, subject and URL of your blog?

Midwest Labs Blog | blogmidwestlabs.com

2. Why do you blog?

BECOME A SPONSOR

Blogging has become an important part of our business. It provides a way to insure fresh content on subjects affecting our clients. Our blogs are then fed to social media sites in Twitter, Facebook, FriendFeed and LinkedIn to facilitate more discussion.

3. How long have you been blogging and what blogging software do you use?

Midwest Laboratories has posted a daily work-week blog for one year, August 2008. We started on typepad and since February, 2009, work exclusively with our own version of WordPress. The move to WordPress gave us instant credibility and traffic. Well worth the move! Also, learning more everyday! We normally get 30-50 hits a day on our blog (Google Analytics).

4. What’s your favorite blog (besides your own)?

I like JimsMarketingBlog.com | DannyBrown.me | ChrisBrogran.com | FarmGate.uiuc.eduInsightAdvertising.typepad.com/weblog

5. What do you think the state of the blogosphere is in our region?

I think the “blogoshpere” is very active in the Omaha. I follow several company blogs in the Omaha Area:

Blogging in Omaha is alive and well and growing at a rapid pace. As you can see, I follow mostly company blogs, but that is where my passion and interests lie. I hope to continue to add to this list, it’s an excellent way to connect locally with other companies.
