Registration is now open for AIM Institute’s Technology Breakfast Seminars, the first of which will be held on Friday, Jan. 22, at the Gallup Riverfront campus (1001 Gallup Drive).

This year’s slate consists of some amazing speakers around the topics of social media implications and practices for business, current and future trends of mobile application development as well as cloud computing.

Matt Galligan is the CEO and Co-Founder of SimpleGeo, a Boulder-based company that provides comprehensive solutions to enable location-based services in mobile, web and desktop application. Prior to helping found SimpleGeo, Matt founded Socialthing, a company that was chosen to be part of the inaugural year of TechStars. Socialthing.com went into private beta in March 2008 at South by Southwest in Aust in, Texas, and was ultimately acquired by AOL five months later. As part of AOL, Matt acted as Product Manager for Socialthing for Websites (now known as AIM Connect), a web platform that brought social features to web sites. Matt gained his background in graphic design and user experience while working at MonsterCommerce (acquired by Network Solutions) in St. Louis. He got his start in the Internet and design while working for a disaster restoration company out of Illinois before he turned 16.
