With a history of co-working out of coffee shops, I imagined the decision between Andy Peters and Hasani Hunter to officially partner to be made over a cup of coffee. Nope. It was over a ham sandwich.
“At the end of the day, that’s why I started the company anyways, not just to be Andy Peter’s business, […] the perfect person, perfect match, was Hasani,” Andy said. “[I] thought about it, was like, ‘Oh, what the heck,’ we’re sitting here having a sandwich, ‘So what do you think about partnering up?’
“It kinda came out of the blue, that’s how it works sometimes,” Andy recollected.

This won’t be the first time they”ll combine their development know-how to create a product. Last week, their first collaboration hit the app store – the Touch Cam ($0.99), a simple video recording app for the iPhone 3GS – and it’s been well-received.
“We thought we could make a much bigger bang if we work together,” Andy said, “and already that’s starting to take shape.”
The core component of their business, Ninth Division, will remain iPhone apps for clients as well as their own products. To learn more about today’s announcement, check their blog post:
Hasani Hunter, now co-founder of Ninth Division
Ninth Division has a co-founder, (drum roll please) his name is Hasani Hunter. This is great news and I am extremely excited about this. This announcement could not come at a better time for Ninth Division.
Last week, I grabbed a quick interview with Andy and Hasani to hear more about why they partnered, what they define as their new headquarters, and what we’ll be seeing from them in 2010 (hint: updated Big Omaha app).
