With progress reports from the future tenants becoming more and more frequent – on princesslasertron.com and Twitter – we thought it was time to catch up with CAMP owner Megan Hunt, a.k.a. Princess Lasertron, for our first look at the creative coworking space.

CAMP, located in North Downtown’s Mastercraft building, is expected to open in the coming month. “[O]ur goal is to host our opening party in early July and open for tenants soon after,” Megan told me yesterday. “My biggest priority right now is finishing the buildout and moving in furniture to kind of cultivate my vision of the collaborative workspace of my dreams. I think when it’s all finished, our visitors won’t want to miss a day of work!”

As to why she and others have undertaken this project, Megan said, “I like to work independently, but when I’m working openly in a coworking environment, I find myself being much more productive, which is why I wanted to take the steps to open CAMP.”

Confirmed tenants of the space are Megan Hunt of Princess Lasertron, a bridal and fashion design studio, Eric Downs of DownsDesign, a graphic and web design studio, and Matt Secoske of nimblelogic, a boutique software development company.
