There are two excellent entrepreneur-focused events happening on the prairie this week. Tonight in Des Moines, Startup Drinks will be gracing Tally’s and Thursday in Omaha Cornstalks will be held at the Omaha Chamber’s downtown office.

What Is Startup Drinks?

A simple concept: startup culture in cities around the world gathers around a bar to have a pint and discuss what they are working on, what they need help with and what they can do for each other.

Thursday, June 24, 6:30-8:30 p.m.* – Cornstalks (Omaha)

Greater Omaha Chamber of Commerce downtown building (1301 Harney St)

Drinks and snacks will be served at 6:30 p.m. followed by the formal program beginning at 7:30 p.m.

This month we will be hearing from Megan Hunt, a.k.a. Princess Lasertron, on her new venture, CAMP (a creative co-working space located in North Downtown’s Mastercraft building.) In addition, Matt Secokse, one of CAMP’s first confirmed tenants, will be speaking on his company, nimblelogic, and issues he has experienced surrounding space.

Dan Greco of InfoGroup will also be coming to Cornstalks this month. He will speak about information, lists and ways to create products and marketing plans using reams of data and data products.
