1. What is the name, subject and URL of your blog?

2. Why do you blog?

I blog mainly for self exploration and self discovery. Part of that, is that blogging causes me to think deeper on topics, take the time to consider my feelings on it, organize my thoughts, physically type them out, and finally see them on the screen. That exercise, I think, really forces someone to put their ideas and opinions through the wringer; which is good.

The other part of that, I think, is sharing my ideas and receiving feedback. A great idea is worthless if nobody else knows about it. And a bad idea could seem great until someone points out a flaw. This is the information and communication age, we should use it to our advantage.

3. How long have you been blogging and what software do you use?

I’ve been an off-again, on-again blogger on a variety of topics for a few years. This particular blog has transformed many times over the years. My favorite blogging software is WordPress, but I’ve also tried Tumblr which I like too.

4. What’s your favorite blog?

The blogs that got me interested in blogging were the top personal finance blogs: Get Rich Slowly, The Simple Dollar, and I Will Teach You To Be Rich.

However, my current favorite blogs are: Seth Godin, mnmlist and frkncngz.

5. What do you think the state of the blogosphere is in our region?

I think the blogosphere in Omaha is alive and flourishing. However, I think we are all disconnected from each other. We should all be communicating and supporting each other as much as we can.
