Yesterday, we published a profile piece on Omaha-based Proxibid, the world’s largest real auction marketplace. To read, see: CEO Bruce Hoberman & co-founder Joe Petsick tell the Proxibid story.

Today, we’d like to share a Proxibid-produced video showing the experiences bidders and auctioneers have using the service as well as what it’s like to participate online in a live webcast auction.

Here are a couple interesting quotes from the video, one from a Proxibid team member and the other from a seller:

  • John Anderson, a senior Proxibid agent said, “Tomorrow, for the auction, I will be in the tuck with the auctioneer relaying the bids, so every time they bid, I will be the one representing their bid physically at the auction.”
  • Jeff Taverner of Gunslinger Auctions said, “Our average auction before Proxibid was somewhere between 50 and 75 thousand dollars for the day. Our average, now it’s more than double that.”

If you’re at all interested in the business Proxibid has created, I strongly encourage you to watch the video. Keeping in mind that it is a promotional video for the company, it’s a great display of the value they provide.

Also, Proxibid has a great gallery of photos on their Facebook page, visit facebook.com/photos.php?id=132039806813354 or click on the photos below. (Photos below by Proxibid agent Kyle Blaney.)
