Recently, one of the founders of the Crunchies Award nominee for Best Bootstrapped Startup, Fast Society, was interviewed on the streets of New York by TechCrunch writer Erick Schonfeld. In the interview, titled “Not Your Mother’s Group Messaging App,” Matthew Rosenberg talks about why group texting startups are beginning to take off and how Fast Society has separated itself from the others.
Earlier this year, we interviewed another of the Fast Society founders, Michael Constantiner, for our Tools for the Trade series: “Fast Society keeps groups in the mobile loop.”
At last year’s South by Southwest Interactive, where the Fast Society team launched their product into private beta, I had the privilege of meeting them. Now, as we look forward to SXSW Interactive 2011, Fast Society is being put on the list of possible breakout apps. It’s been lots of fun to follow them, especially since having the opportunity to speak with them about their excitement for both their product and passion for success. The video of Rosenberg below puts both those qualities on display. Check it out, and make sure to say tuned into to SXSW news as the March festival nears.
