When you take a look at the auction model Proxibid has centered its business around – live-bidding online at real-live auctions – this week it couldn’t make any more sense. “Two dozen states are currently in the path of a major storm system, but business must go on,” said Ryan Downs, president of Proxibid.

According to a press release today, February is a very busy month for Proxibid as it’s the key month for heavy equipment auctions. Over these next four weeks, contractors and construction companies will prepare for spring-time construction projects. Commercial and Industrial auctions are also increasing as corporations across the globe continue to closely manage asset recovery and liquidation.

“Auction companies have events scheduled and we are prepared to support our clients,” said Downs. “Even though on-site crowds may be adversely impacted by the weather, we expect strong online activity as bidders participate from the comfort of their homes or offices.”

Thanks to Proxibid, those who might not have made today’s auctions in the Midwest because of weather, are now able to bid through Proxibid.com. And, of course, those who weren’t going to make it anyways because, for example, they’re traveling in the Caribbean, are able to participate, as well.

Here’s a sample list of some of the auctions taking place this month. If you’re in the hunt for a JD 8230T Tractor, you may be in luck.
