A major reason Collin Caneva started Green Bein’ Productions and launced Kid Command in December 2009 was to someday provide a video game for his children that was a safe and educational outlet on the computer. As we reported yesterday, Kid Command, the online game focused on teaching kids about the environment, is beginning to pick up steam with user numbers and business development (see: “Kid Command adds 56k users in Jan., Aaron Davis joins Green Bein’ team).

In the video above, Caneva gives his pitch to parents on why they should let their children spend time playing Kid Command:

If you have kids, you absolutely know how much they love to spend time on the computer, they love the computer. It provides them challenges, they have games, and they can even chat with their friend. Our question at Kid Command was, “What if kids can do all those fun things but actually learn something, as well?” Our goal with Kid Command, it’s quite simple, we want to make the world a better place.

In the remaining minute of the video, Caneva shows off the new features of the latest version of Kid Command. This video was released this past December and lives on the “Creator’s Introduction” page of Kid Command’s website. The page also has a letter to parents from Caneva:
