This week’s Sunday Video isn’t a video and it isn’t too recent, but it’s one of the most fascinating pieces of media I’ve consumed this past year. First aired on November 24, 1995, this This American Life episode, “Small Scale Sin,” profiles the activities of two malicious internet users of the 90s.

I was still a pre-teen when this episode played live on WBEZ, and I had yet to log onto the internet (from what I can remember), but somehow this 60-minute program is a trip down memory lane. And just as the individuals interviewed in this piece understood the limitless opportunities of the web – sadly, in a negative way – I see entrepreneurs today doing the same thing as they contend old business models with new ones.

There are four parts to this show, hosted by Ira Glass, and the ones I recommend listening to are at the start of the show and the 34:17 mark. You can listen to the show at thisamericanlife.org.
