The latest project from the creative team at Des Moines-based application development company BitMethod is a new podcast called “The Flyover Effect.” The podcast debuted Monday, and the first episode featured an interview with Tara Hunt, CEO and co-founder of Montreal-based Buyosphere.

In this episode, BitMethod’s Dan Shipton and Scott Kubie discuss Hunt’s 2009 Whuffaoke trip across the country (see our post “Whuffaoke hits Omaha), how her company Buyosphere came about and how the branding has quickly evolved, her involvement in the corsortium of people, including Singly‘s Jeremie Miller of Cascade, Iowa, that’s building a single toolset to change profiles and personal data around the web and more.

According to the show’s introduction, BitMethod plans to release new episodes weekly. Listen online at the podcast’s website or subscribe now via RSS. According to the podcast’s website, it should also be available in iTunes.
