After a successful Demo Night in March, Cornstalks, a monthly gathering hosted by the Omaha Chamber for individuals interested in high-growth entrepreneurship, will be bringing back the event on August 4. The time and venue are set (details below) but the the lineup of presenting companies is still coming together. So far, participating in the showcase of eight companies, each giving a 10-minute or less product walkthrough, is The MeNetwork and SkyVu Entertainment of Omaha and Green Bein’ Productions of Lincoln.

According to organizer Tom Chapman, director of entreprenuership and innovation of the Omaha Chamber, the results of the first demo night were very promising. “Since [Demo Night] in March,” Chapman wrote in a recent paper, “three of our companies have received direct inquiries from investors that were in the audience and at least one of the companies looks like it will receive risk capital from an investor based on this event.”

If you’re a tech startup based in the Silicon Prairie and are interested in demonstrating your product August 4, Chapman is still taking submissions – contact him at tchapman@omahachamber.org.
