Starting today, Verizon Wireless customers in Omaha and Council Bluffs will be able to surf the web, download files and share music and photos up to 10 times faster than before with Verizon Wireless’ 4G Long Term Evolution (LTE) network.

To celebrate this upgrade to faster internet on the go, Verizon has partnered with Silicon Prairie News to hold a launch party on Tuesday, Sept. 20 at DJ’s Dugout in downtown Omaha. The event, The 4G Launch Party – The Future is Now! Sponsored by Verizon, will run from 6-8 p.m. and feature complimentary appetizers, drink specials and a local panel of small business owners and tech enthusiasts. To add insight from Verizon, joining the panel will be Dennis Dohrmann, the data sales manager for Nebraska and Iowa.

Stay tuned for more details in early September, but mark your calendar for a great event the night of Sept. 20.
