The Show-Me State is joining some of its Silicon Prairie neighbors in launching a statewide effort later this month in conjunction with the Startup America Partnership.
Startup Missouri will celebrate its launch with an event from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Jan. 31 at 611 Olive St. in downtown St. Louis. The Eventbrite page for the launch party touts it as a chance for networking with entrepreneurs across the state, idea generation to support the entrepreneurial sector and setting the agenda for Startup Missouri for the coming year.
The event’s hosts include Barbara Brinkman of Innovate St. Louis; Jay DeLong of St. Louis Regional Chamber and Growth Association; Chris Dornfeld of Dornfeld Management Group; Trey Goede of Affinity Wind; Greg Kratofil of Polsinelli Shughart, PC; Brian Matthews of River City Internet Group and Judy Sindecuse of Capital Innovators. More information on the event is forthcoming, as is the opportunity to register for it via the Eventbrite page.
Startup Kansas and Startup Nebraska are also hosting launch events on Jan. 31. Meanwhile, StartupIowa celebrated its official launch in December, becoming the eighth state to do so. Iowa will join in the festivities on Jan. 31 — the one-year anniversary of the Startup America Partnership’s official launch — with a statewide Startup Fair.
