With the Nebraska Summit on Entrepreneurship taking place today with more than 500 attendees, ideas for growth and goals for the startup community are bound to be in the mix of topics for our Silicon Prairie News Meetup with Jelecos. From 3-5 p.m. today, collaborate on ideas from the Summit and draw up new conversation with those who join for the meetup at the Embassy Suites Conference Center in La Vista (12520 Westport Parkway).
If you’re attending the Summit, make sure to stick around immediately after Steve Kiene’s closing keynote. And if you’re not a Summit-goer, duck out of the office and join us. The event is free and open to all.
At the meetup, we’ll hear briefly from the Silicon Prairie News team and our meetup sponsor, Jelecos. Also, make sure to speak with a Jelecos team member throughout the meetup because the first 25 attendees will receive a free drink.

We are looking for an intern to provide support to Project Office team members (i.e. Project Managers, Project Coordinators, and Business Analysts). Specific duties will include, but are not limited to, creating and entering project plans into our project management software (Microsoft Project Server 2010), attending client meetings and recording agendas and notes for distribution, preparing project status updates, and more.
Jelecos is looking for a graphic design intern that has a great eye for design and enjoys being creative. A serious candidate will have a portfolio that showcases skills. Our idea of the perfect candidate: understands the creative process and has a beginner level of graphic design abilities; is familiar with general principals of typography; exhibits excellent communication skills and an aptitude to get things done; knowledge of layout principles, aesthetic design concepts and more.
We’re looking for a Web Application Developer Intern that would like to grow to become a great .NET and C# application developer. If this is you and you have a great attitude, we think you might be a great person to join our team.
We are currently accepting applications for a Service Desk Intern to assist in supporting our technical staff and clients. We are looking for highly motivated individuals who work well in both individual and team situations. The Service Desk Intern is responsible for incident management and front-line customer service. These responsibilities include base-level knowledge of many types of technologies and providing issue ownership and clean handoffs to ensure excellent customer satisfaction.
