Last year, Startup Weekend Des Moines drew a crowd to Des Moines Amplified. This year, StartupCity Des Moines will serve as the venue for the 54-hour event.

The 54-hour crash course in launching a high-growth business is set to hit Des Moines again next month. Startup Weekend Des Moines is returning for a fourth go-round March 2-4 at StartupCity Des Moines (317 6th Ave., 5th Floor).*

During the event, teams devote a weekend to building a web or mobile application that could form the basis of a credible business. Things get underway Friday evening with participants coming together and introducing ideas for startups. Attendees then spend Saturday and Sunday working in teams to bring a handful of those initial ideas to fruition and take Sunday night to pitch those fleshed-out ideas to a panel of judges.
