Our new Founder Friday series will present a weekly guest post from a Silicon Prairie-based founders.
Blog more. That’s always my first piece of advice to startup founders who ask me, “What can I do to increase our exposure?”
On March 30, we’ll kick off a new weekly series that aims to do just that. Penned by statup founders who are based in or hail from the Silicon Prairie, our new Founder Friday series will present a weekly guest post focusing on a lesson learned or a best practice utilized.

Over the past several months, we’ve published a handful of guest posts on Saturdays with this theme in mind. But the launch of this series will give our readers a consistent flow of founder wisdom and, in turn, give Silicon Prairie founders a different stage from which to share their stories.
Each month, we’ll introduce a new theme, such as fundraising, hiring or company culture, and find a founder that is well-suited to write about it.
Our long-term hope, in line with our mission to build a startup community in the Silicon Prairie, is to bring more recognition to the individuals who are building new businesses in the heart of the Midwest. There are already a handful of founders blogging (check out the list below), but we know of many more whose knowledge and advice runs deep — it’ll just take a little nudge to get them to share it. And we believe this sharing is important to the growth and maturation of the Silicon Prairie.
In anticipation of our first post next week, here’s a list of active Silicon Prairie founder blogs to check out:
