The Horsebot3k team won the last Startup Weekend Kansas City, which was held in November.
Startup Weekend will chug into Kansas City for the first time this year April 13-15 at Union Station.

During Startup Weekend, teams devote 54 hours to building a web or mobile application that could form the basis of a credible business. Things get underway Friday evening with participants coming together and introducing ideas for startups. Attendees then spend Saturday and Sunday working in teams to bring a handful of those initial ideas to fruition. The event wraps up on Sunday night, when teams pitch their fleshed-out ideas to a panel of judges.
Evan Conway of OneLouder Apps, Joni Cobb of Pipeline and Thad Langford of OpenAir Equity Partners will serve as judges at the upcoming event. The weekend will also feature a talk from Danny O’Neill of The Roasterie.
Tickets for Startup Weekend cost $80 per participant and are available through April 13 on the event’s registration page. Tickets for the Sunday night pitches and dinner can be purchased for $15.
