At their founding, startups set out to make an impact in an industry. Some industries, however, aren’t quick to adopt innovation which can make even a promising startup an unsuccessful one. In this panel, Jim Terrano of TELCOR and Nick Bowden of MindMixer discuss how their companies have broken into established industries, healthcare and government.


“Studentpreneurs: Balancing Books and Business”

Featuring Allen Kruse of Rare Earth Solar, Calvin Pappas of SelectOut and Craig Zuhlke of Photonic Solutions, Inc. this panel brings together three entrepreneurs who launched their respective startups while still in school. In our discussion we’ll examine topics including the origins and motivations of these entrepreneurial ventures, favrots that dictated the timing of their launches, key to balancing commitments to school and startup and how to leverage resources and acess that are provied to students for the benefit of a business.
