Just more than a week remains until the Technology Association of Iowa (TAI) hosts its annual celebration to recognize the top tech companies in the state.

The seventh annual Prometheus Awards will take place April 11 at Veterans Memorial Auditorium in Des Moines. The events begins with a VIP cocktail reception and live entertainment at 5 p.m., continues with dinner and welcoming remarks at 6:15 and culminates in the presentation of awards starting at 6:30.

The TAI will hand out awards in 15 categories, including outstanding startup of the year, technology company of the year (large and small divisions) and software company of the year (large and small divisions). The finalists for those awards, announced in late February, include several companies that regularly grace the pages of Silicon Prairie News.

The awards are part of an event-filled couple of days in Des Moines. Things kick off with Pitch & Grow VIII on the morning of April 11, continue with the Prometheus Awards that night and conclude with the i2iowa Innovators and Investors Forum all day on April 12.

More on the Prometheus Awards, from the TAI’s website:

The Prometheus Awards have been established as Iowa’s largest and most prestigious distinction dedicated to recognizing and celebrating the innovation and brilliance of Iowa’s high-tech industry. This ceremony honors both companies and individuals who have demonstrated outstanding leadership and excellence in technology.

Individual tickets to the event cost $100 for TAI members and $125 for non members, and tables are $1,000 and $1,250, respectively. All are available for purchase on the Prometheus Awards registration page.
