TEDxDesMoines is only a few weeks away, but tickets are still available to hear from entrepreneurs, artists, professors and dreamers. Ben Milne of Dwolla is one of the announced 10 speakers.

This year’s theme is “The Space Between.” July 15 will mark the third time the event has come to Des Moines, and the first time it will be hosted at the Science Center of Iowa.

Event organizer Alexander Grgurich, who formerly ran Foundry Coworking, was recently interviewed by the Des Moines Register. “There is no reason you can’t be globally relevant and live in Des Moines,” Grgurich said. “There are a lot of problems in the world and I guess TEDx people are all optimists in that we think things can get better if we are not locked into the status quo.”
