West Des Moines – Green Grounds Cafe (117 5th St.)

Developed in Kauffman Labs for Enterprise Creation, and refined by a dedicated community of entrepreneurs in Kansas City, we have created an educational program that holds the promise to empower, grow and activate your community of entrepreneurs. Each week 1 Million Cups will showcase two startups from the Des Moines area at Green Grounds Cafe in Valley Junction.

Kansas City, Mo. – Kauffman Labs (4801 Rockhill Road)

Kauffman Labs for Enterprise Creation created 1 Million Cups (1MC) as a simple way to engage entrepreneurs in the Kansas City community. Each week, the 1MC program offers two local upstarts an opportunity to present their companies to a diverse audience of mentors, advisors, and entrepreneurs. Presenting this week: Riega and Umzuzu

BIZ Luncheon Series: Andy Snook – Anatomy of the Remote Sales Call  –  Wednesday, 12-1 p.m.

Des Moines – The Greater Des Moines Partnership (700 Locust St., Suite 100)

The BIZ helps entrepreneurs maximize their successes by helping them navigate resources, strengthen knowledge, improve skills, form strategic alliances and secure proper capitalization. Reprising his role as guest presenter, Andy Snook, President of Fastpath Inc., will speak to the November session of the BIZ luncheon. Attendees to Snook’s June presentation on remote sales models will know that when he says “sales call” he means it quite literally.
