The EAS Impact Summit in 2011 featured 120 businesses from across the state of Nebraska.
Gallup will hold its Entrepreneur Acceleration System 2012 Impact Summit from 10-11:30 a.m. Thursday at the Embassy Suites Omaha-La Vista Conference Center (12520 Westport Parkway).
The Entrepreneur Acceleration System (EAS) is a second-year program for small and medium enterprises that’s put on by Gallup in partnership with the Nebraska Department of Economic Development, the University of Nebraska-Lincoln Institute of Agriculture and Natural Resources and the Greater Omaha Chamber of Commerce. The yearlong program offers participants a variety of tools, courses and coaching aimed at accelerating business growth and creating jobs.
Close to 150 companies from across Nebraska participated in the 2012 program, including a handful — Beehive Industries, EliteForm, MindMixer, Nebraska Global, PinPoint, Semcat and Volano Solutions — that are covered fairly frequently here on Silicon Prairie News.
During Thursday’s event, entrepreneurs who participated in the 2012 program will provide progress reports, share future plans and receive official Gallup certification. Nebraska Governor Dave Heineman and Gallup chairman Jim Clifton are among the government and business leaders scheduled to participate in Thursday’s proceedings.
The event is free and open to the public. Registration can be completed online.
