Developed in Kauffman Labs for Enterprise Creation, and refined by a dedicated community of entrepreneurs in Kansas City, we have created an educational program that holds the promise to empower, grow and activate your community of entrepreneurs. Each week 1 Million Cups will showcase two startups from the Des Moines area at Green Grounds Cafe in Valley Junction.

Kauffman Labs for Enterprise Creation created 1 Million Cups (1MC) as a simple way to engage entrepreneurs in the Kansas City community. Each week, the 1MC program offers two local upstarts an opportunity to present their companies to a diverse audience of mentors, advisors, and entrepreneurs.

BIZ Luncheon Series: Kinley and Geneser Field Questions on Raising Capital – Wednesday, 11:30 a.m.-1 p.m.

Des Moines – The Greater Des Moines Partnership (700 Locust St., Suite 100)

This hour-long Q&A session, a deviation from the traditional luncheon speaker format of the BIZ series which has been successful in its first two beta sessions this year, provides attendees the opportunity to drill deeper into the expertise of the presenter, while allowing the speakers to match their presentation to the specific needs of the audience.
