We often get questions about our organization – from “How do you make money?” to “Where are your offices?” – so we’re beginning a new series to help provide more insight into the work we do and how we do it. The series, “Inside SPN,” debuts tomorrow.

Since the very nature of our work is to highlight and support the innovation, milestones and culture of Silicon Prairie startups, it’s sometimes overlooked that we’re a startup, too. We believe this quality – being a startup ourselves – gives us a unique perspective and ability to participate as a member of the startup community. Whether that’s reporting on startups or holding events for entrepreneurs.

We’ll use this forum to dig into our company’s business model, structure and strategy as well as opportunities and challenges that have come our way.

We’d also like to answer your questions about how we work. I encourage you to leave a question below or contact me at geoff@siliconprairienews.com.

This occasional series will run Saturdays. I’ll kick it off tomorrow with a post on why we made the decision to change the name of our annual Des Moines event from Thinc Iowa to Big Des Moines.
