Mastercraft Advisors, a group of four service providers that cater to startups, recently released the first dates and topics of its lunch and learns. The group, which has an office in The Mastercraft, a popular office building of the Omaha startup community, is hosting its first event from 11:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m. Wednesday. Intellectual property law firm Advent IP will present “Protecting your ideas from imitation.”

Future lunch and learns will be hosted by the group’s other members – Koley Jessen, Lutz & Company and First National Bank of Omaha – and will take place twice monthly in the Silicon Prairie News office (1111 N. 13th St., Suite 208).

The seminars, which are free and open to the public, provide a complimentary lunch. Registration is not required.

  • Jan. 9 – Advent IP: “Protecting Your Ideas From Imitation”
  • Jan. 23 – Koley Jessen: “Understanding a VC Term Sheet”
  • Feb. 6 – First National Bank: “Becoming Bank-able”
  • Feb. 20 – Lutz: “Taking Advantage of State Tax Incentive and Credits”
