OK, folks! It’s time to start getting excited about Big Omaha 2013. That is, if you haven’t already.

It’s hard to believe that each year brings different takeaways and stories from what happens at the event, and we anticipate this year will be especially unique as it’s our fifth anniversary. When we launched the event in 2009, we had no idea how Big Omaha would evolve. It’s been a wild and inspring ride.

Thanks to our friends at Oxide Design, this year’s Big Omaha theme focuses on taking that next step with an emphasis on creating “the next big thing.”

Big Omaha inspires giant ideas, and this year’s design concept skews that mentality toward high fashion. The design concept is fluid, edgy and provides a deeper subcontext to expose over time. It is simple yet  expresses an apex of high end couture and the cutting edge design. In other words, it’s going to help make Big Omaha 2013 the most fabulous conference on innovation and entrepreneurship.

When you watch Malone and Company‘s Big Omaha promo video for 2013, you’ll notice the timing and slow motion. What we love most about this video are those focal points, as they’re symbolic of the magic that happens.

Malone zeroed in on crucial moments in time – handshakes, fist pumps, laughter – subtle interactions that change the course of our attendee’s experience and bring them together. The anonymous voices are instrumental to the idea that we are all a part of Big Omaha; each voice represents something beyond ourselves. This video style compliments the 2013 design and captures the vogue essence of the conference. We owe a tremendous thank you to the Malone team, and as always, we are grateful for their phenomenal work.
