True to form, individuals volunteering their time and talent made the first video to highlight the Kansas City Startup Village.

Matthew Marcus, co-founder of the Startup Village, thanked the “give first, get later” actions of those involved in creating “the first KCSV video helping outsiders (and insiders) better understand just what is happening in this part of the country/world,” the local startup founder said Monday in an email to Silicon Prairie News.

In the video, Startup Village ambassadors and leaders, including Adam Arredondo, Cameron Cushman, Brittain Kovac and Eze Redwood, take viewers through the young history of the entrepreneurial community, the benefits of being there and its focus going forward. Our own Kansas City community builder Regan Carrizales is also featured in the short film.

Marcus credited the creators of the video, titled “What is the Kansas City Startup Village?”, in his email: Jeff and Erica Short of Anecdotally YoursKyle Hamrick of The Feral Few and Luke Clarkson of Google Fiber.
