Round two of the KC Startup Crawl, the sequel to February’s inaugural showcase of area startups, is ready to ring in again June 28 from 4-9 p.m. at about a dozen stops along a shuttled route during 1Week KC.

Volunteer organizer Carrie Royce wants to double the scope from last time, which highlighted about 50 startups and drew more than 400 attendees, she said in an email. She’s still in the process of recruiting startups that want to participate, with opportunities to be part of the program even if the company is located outside the Crawl’s route. Startups can be paired with stops that have extra space to host.

“The goal of this event is to make the startup arena even more accessible to local hopefuls, new arrivals and the community in general,” according to the Crawl website. “Everyone curious about startups is welcome. ‘Startup hop’ around several organizations to get an inside view of 100 projects, meet the founders and teams, and be inspired to get involved. It’s a great opportunity for homegrown entrepreneurs to tell their stories, extend hospitality, and connect with new faces.”

Each stop will serve up its own concoction of free education and entertainment, including a showcase of community resources available to entrepreneurs at the Ewing Marion Kauffman Foundation, portfolio-matching startup FolioMatch‘s VIP launch party at Snow & Co. and live music and food trucks at Kansas City Startup Village. Google representatives will ride the five shuttles circling the route—starting at 4:30 p.m. and ending at 9 p.m.—to answer questions and hear ideas for using Fiber in business. Attendees also are welcome to drive themselves to the locations they want to see.

If you still have energy in the tank, Backly co-founder and 1Week KC organizer Adam Coomes has invited everyone to a private party on the rooftop of Drunken Fish downtown from 9 p.m. to 2 a.m for music and conversation. And if you RSVP beforehand, you get two drinks on the house. There will be a shuttle available to chauffer people from the party to their cars.

Head over to the KC Startup Crawl site to register and find more information on where shuttles will start, which startups are participating and activities at each location. If you’re interested in showcasing your startup and don’t have a spot yet, contact Carrie Royce.
