We’re a little late on posting this, but the advice remains relevant. AgLocal CEO and founder Naithan Jones took to his blog to share lessons from his rookie season running a startup. Specifically, it’s been just more than a year since the online market for responsibly raised meat received its initial seed round. Jones draws parallels between a founder’s hurdles and an NFL draft pick—particularly bust JaMarcus Russell. From having a good huddle and the inability to see the future to understanding the speed of the game and making difficult decisions, there’s a lot to absorb early on. “After the lights of draft day, signing your term sheet or landing that first big customer, you must now perform,” Jones writes. If you’re a founder or want to be, definitely don’t miss his post. — Source: Nait Jones’ Fits and Starts blog
