She’s late to her own intro, but our operations manager had things to do

I’ve never actually written a bio before, and while this post may be a little on the tardy side, I had to knock out a few things before getting to write about myself. In creating my recent to-do list, I of course had to include the items I already completed, just so I could check them off. I threatened to include my Excel checklist here, but decided to spare everyone.

I had an amazing introduction to my new role during Global Entrepreneurship Week, and it has been a whirlwind of a good time ever since. Turns out, I had no idea what I was missing in the startup community until I got here. I am consistently impressed with the relentless positivity and drive, and am so excited to be part of it! Unlike the rest of my team, my roots don’t stem from the Midwest and this scene is completely new to me. I moved here two years ago from New Mexico for a job in the financial services industry, and have been blessed with an introduction to this amazing community you all call home.

My time in a cubicle with a PC appears to have resulted in some level of technology cluelessness (big shoutout to Caleb for helping with that). On top of that, I think the first time I suggested the team review “action items” I got quite the look… but I think it was a good one. Luckily I’m not addicted to coffee, nor am I a wannabe gourmet cook, so our Omaha editor Jordan and I are sure to get along.

Anyway, thanks for reading… so thrilled to be here and looking forward to seeing you all out and about. In the meantime, here’s my prairie portrait:

Name: Jean Nobile
Age: 25
Hometown: Los Alamos, New Mexico
Current city: Kansas City, Missouri
Twitter handle: @pjeann_7
Thing I can’t live without: Green chile
Drink of choice: Latte w/two Splenda
Ultimate road trip snack: Hot Cheetos
Guilty pleasure TV show: The Mistresses
Chosen career in an alternate reality: Options trader
Worst OCD tendency: Adding completed items to my to-do list, just so I can cross them off
Quote I may have said: “I have no idea what you just said.”
Kansas City would be better if… Mexican restaurants would stop putting rice in burritos! Rice is a side!
Social media pet peeve: Ultrasound pictures. It just seems too personal.
