Earlier this week, Digital Sandbox KC announced it has helped 19 early-stage tech startups raise roughly $7 million in follow-on funding, surpassing its investment goal six months earlier than planned. Digital Sandbox was originally funded through $1 million from the federal i6 Challenge Grant. Since its creation in February 2013, Digital Sandbox KC has worked with more than 160 startups and funded projects for 37 area tech companies.
