The Opening Party with the Kauffman Foundation – October 8 at 8 p.m.
Missouri Bank Downtown Branch (1044 Main St)
Before it all gets started, join The Kauffman Foundation, SPN and the rest of the 2014 Big KC audience for the Opening Party at the Downtown Missouri Bank branch. We’re entirely thankful for the Kauffman Foundation getting involved in another Big event, and their party is beautifully paired with our friends at Missouri Bank, who we partner with for our quarterly Let’s Talk series. The branch provides an open (and certainly unique) setting for the launch of Big Kansas City 2014. Come on over to reconnect with familiar faces and meet a broader audience who you’ll be spending the next two days with.
The Opening Party is open to the public and free to all badge holders. For non-badge holders the party will be $5, but you can RSVP to waive the cover charge.
The Middle Party with Sprint – October 9 at 8 p.m. (exclusive to badgeholders)
The Bauer (115 W 18th St)
We’ll be holding this year’s Middle Party in the heart of the Crossroads, just up the street from the home of our friends at the Sprint Accelerator. Grab a drink and connect with fellow badgeholders, recapping the highlights from day one.
Happy Hour – October 10 at 5 p.m. (exclusive to badgeholders)
Hangar 9 (201 NW Lou Holland Dr)
The speakers have presented and the pitch competition is complete, but Big KC is far from over. We’ll swing open the doors of Hangar 9 and open up the room for the last event in the iconic space. Happy Hour serves as the perfect transition into the night and the crowd’s farewell to Big Kansas City 2014 before the Polsinelli and Flyover Capital Closing Party.
The Closing Party with Polsinelli and Flyover Capital – October 10 at 8 p.m.
This is our chance to give Big Kansas City the sendoff it deserves. We’re bringing this year’s closing party to a completely untouched space. Whether you want to reminisce over a cocktail or to occupy the dance floor until 2 a.m., you’re good to go in this spot.
This event is open to the public with a $5 cover charge without badge or RVSP – do that here.
Huge thanks to our friends at Polsinelli and Flyover Capital for hosting.
Pop Up Events – October 8-10

Big KC 2014 has even more opportunities to share in the festivities thanks to our amazing community partners, including Triple I, UP Global, KCNext, VML, Techstars and more. Stay tuned for all of the details on this year’s Pop Up Events.
