Ryan Pendell, SPN Managing Editor

Ryan Pendell was hired as the Managing Editor of Silicon Prairie News in 2015. In 2009 he received his MFA in Writing from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago. Since then he has taught writing at the collegiate level, and he has written for regional and national online and print media. He was also an editor for the Sundance Film Festival in 2014.

Melanie Lucks, AIM/SPN Communications Intern

Melanie Lucks is an intern at Silicon Prairie News and AIM Careerlink. She is a student at the University of Nebraska at Omaha studying Journalism: Public Relations and Advertising and will graduate in May of 2016. She formally worked in internal communications at TD Ameritrade as an intern.

Molly Misek, AIM Marketing Intern

Molly Misek is an AIM Marketing Intern, working out of the SPN office and taking occasional photography for SPN. Molly is an Omaha native who graduated from Creighton University in 2015 with a degree in Graphic Design and Advertising. Her professional portfolio includes work for Hear Nebraska, Eleven19, UNMC and Omaha Performing Arts.

Rod Armstrong, VP of Strategic Partnerships, AIM

Rod Armstrong is Vice President of Strategic Partnerships at AIM and a regular contributor to Silicon Prairie News. Based in Lincoln, Rod is responsible for building partnerships to bring AIM programs and services to Lincoln and other markets across the country. He has an extensive background in public policy and technology business management, and has strong connections in the region’s startup community.

Jake Hull, SPN Lincoln Editor and AIM Community Builder

Jake Hull is the SPN Lincoln Editor and AIM Community Builder. Born and raised in Wahoo, NE, Jake graduated from the University of Nebraska with a bachelors degree in Advertising with a focus on film and new media. He lives with his wife, Megan, and their three children in his hometown of Wahoo.
