Featured Event: 2018 InvestMidwest Venture Capital Forum early application period ends soon

Young, high-growth companies seeking to present their cases to prospective investors at the 2018 InvestMidwest Venture Capital Forum still have time to take advantage of the early application period ending November 10th.

“Companies that apply should be fast-growth companies seeking substantial investment,” said  Christine Walsh, InvestMidwest Executive Director. “These applications should be from entrepreneurs of fast-track companies in need of at least $1 million to push companies forward in a dynamic drive to the next level.”

InvestMidwest attracts upwards of 300 attendees annually. The forum showcases the Midwest’s top-caliber, high-growth businesses. 45 emerging businesses will present on three industry tracks: life sciences, information technology and agriculture/food/bioenergy.

“It has become apparent over the years that an early application has the opportunity to receive deeper consideration,” said Walsh. “If the selection committee members have questions, early applicants have time to clarify and strengthen their cases. That can make the difference in the committee’s decision regarding a company being invited to present at InvestMidwest.”

The forum also provides opportunities for entrepreneurs to meet privately with attending venture capitalists, corporate investors, private investors and business, financial and legal professionals.

The early deadline ends November 10, but companies have until January 12, 2018 to apply. For more information visit www.investmidwestforum.com.

TEDx Omaha 2017 | Everything Changes, Omaha, NE
A century ago, the U.S. entered World War I, then commonly known as “The War to End All Wars.” Spoiler alert: it wasn’t. Sixty years ago, many Black Americans were barred from voting, and no one could fathom the day when the U.S. would elect an African American president. Just a quarter century ago, we couldn’t even imagine that we would gain access to nearly the entire sum of human knowledge via a device small enough to fit in a pocket.

We couldn’t imagine it because we so often forget a simple maxim of human existence: Everything Changes. TEDxOmaha will he held from 1-5pm on Saturday, October 21st at the Harper Center on the campus of Creighton University.

Don’t have tickets? Live stream the event here: http://tedxomaha.com/watch-the-tedxomaha-livestream/
