Featured Event: AIM Institute Tech Celebration to honor local tech talent

As part of its commitment to spark interest and innovation in the tech community, AIM Institute and Cox Business will recognize the metro’s top tech talent for their contributions in the community during the annual Tech Celebration.

For the past two decades, AIM has awarded students, educators and business leaders for their outstanding achievements in growing the area’s tech ecosystem. Winners being awarded at this year’s Tech Celebration include:

  • Tech Innovator Award
  • Tech Leader Award
  • Tech Community Builder Award
  • Emerging Business Award
  • Enterprise Business Award

The host for this year’s Tech Celebration is comedian and actor Andy Buckley. He is known for his role as David Wallace, CFO of the Dunder Mifflin Paper Company, playing opposite Steve Carrell on NBC’s hit comedy “The Office.”

Young, high-growth companies seeking to present their cases to prospective investors at the 2018 InvestMidwest Venture Capital Forum still have time to take advantage of the early application period ending November 10th. InvestMidwest attracts upwards of 300 attendees annually. The forum showcases the Midwest’s top-caliber, high-growth businesses. 45 emerging businesses will present on three industry tracks: life sciences, information technology and agriculture/food/bioenergy.
