A second wave of speakers for the 10th annual Big Omaha conference presented by Buildertrend was announced on Thursday.

New speakers joining the conference lineup are:

  • Nonny de la Peña, Founder of Emblematic.
Renowned for using cutting-edge technologies to tell immersive stories that create intense, empathic engagement, Nonny is widely credited with having invented the field of immersive journalism when she premiered the first-ever VR experience at the Sundance Film Festival.
  • Lili Cheng, Corporate Vice President, AI + Research, Conversational AI
Responsible for Microsoft’s AI Developer services, Lili works with external partners around the world, from start-ups to large-scale enterprises, to identify areas of collaboration, drive innovation and deliver solutions.
  • John Wirtz, Co-Founder and Chief Product Officer of Hudl.
Through its video analysis platform, Hudl helps 150,000+ sports teams around the world win games and millions of athletes get recruited.

These speakers will join the previously announced round including Jonathan Badeen, co-founder of Tinder and inventor of its famous #SwipeRight design; Elizabeth Gore, co-founder of inclusive artificial intelligence platform HelloAlice.com; Micah Baldwin, founder of digital content hub Graphicly; Amanda Slavin, founder of creative marketing firm CatalystCreativ; and Dan Houghton, co-founder of Buildertrend, the country’s leading software platform in the construction industry.

Conference co-founder Jeff Slobotski will emcee the event. Big Omaha will also welcome back artist Lowercase Tres, who has deejayed the event since its inception.

Lunch will be curated by Dandelion Pop-Up, a pop-up restaurant known for featuring a different chef and menu every week.

Over the last decade, Big Omaha has welcomed over 4,000 participants from all over the country and dozens of speakers specializing in technology, innovation, and entrepreneurship.

Earlier this year, the conference, which historically took place during May, joined with Maha Music Festival and aligned with its August dates.

The conference also recently announced that this year will be the last Big Omaha as we know it in order to make way for a reimagined experience in 2019, a direction reflective of the ever-changing landscape of entrepreneurialism.

Forthcoming announcements include a third round of speakers and exciting details on the official opening party.
