Big Kansas City and Steve Case’s Rise of the Rest will join forces Thursday, October 9, giving the community and its business leaders an unforgettable afternoon. After a fireside chat with the AOL co-founder, a group of pre-selected startups will have the opportunity to pitch their company to Case for a $100,000 investment. Directly following that pitch, KCNext and KCADC, in partnership with Rise of the Rest, will host a happy hour at 5 p.m. at The Guild to showcase KC's creatives and culture.  read more
