Hudl acquisition of Ubersense is its fourth, second in two months

Hudl has made its fourth acquisition purchasing Ubersense, a Boston company specializing in interactive video analysis and instruction. Ubersense was founded in 2011 with the vision to put world-class coaching in everyone’s hands. More than 2.5 million users have installed the Ubersense app for iOS, gaining access to video analysis tools, such as slow-motion review, drawings, and voiceovers. The team’s Android app is in beta testing and will launch in October.  read more

A record 819,644 international students attended undergrad and post-grad schools in 2013, according to a U.S. News & World Report. Why SitStay, 19 years in, went through an accelerator

If anyone in Nebraska knows the value of a startup accelerator, it’s probably Jill Liliedahl. Last summer, Liliedahl was the Program Manager for NMotion’s inaugural year in Lincoln. This year, she is a participant in Omaha’s Straight Shot, which will host its Demo Day festivities Wednesday evening. “I knew what an accelerator could do for a company,” she said this week, but “actually going through the process has exceeded my expectations and we got even more out of it than I thought we would.”  read more
