Just two weeks before Silicon Prairie News holds its own conference, Big Omaha, I’m stepping away from the craziness in our Omaha office to attend LessConf, a 250-attendee event in Atlanta for “anyone involved in web startups.”

I arrived in the Big Peach late Thursday night and will be hanging out here until Saturday afternoon, sadly missing the closing party later that night. By the time I leave, however, I will take in two of three parties, listen to nearly a dozen speakers and, I predict, have meaningful conversations with about a third of the attendees (I’m a big fan of small conferences).

In addition, I also forecast I’ll have many a laughs thanks to wit and goofiness of the conference organizers, Steven Bristol and Allan Branch. As conference organizers ourselves, we’ve followed this duo and their events (they also host LessCruise) as well as their company, LessAccounting. We haven’t had a chance to attend one of their events before, but we’re convinced they have the most entertaining conference promo videos of anyone (my favorite: “LessConf Sucks“).

If you’re at LessConf this weekend, make sure to stop me in the hallway and say hello –  to find me, you can creep on me on Twitter, @dannyaway. And if you’re not here, follow the conference hashtag on Twitter, #LessConf.
