Chalk it up to the Big Omaha bump. OK, no, don’t chalk it up to that at all. That Foodspotting‘s Alexa Andrzejewski and Grasshopper‘s David Hauser made this year’s Inc. list of 30 Under 30 has everything to do with Andrezejewski and Hauser’s hard work and execution on big ideas, not their work on stage at Big Omaha.
But we at Silicon Prairie News are nonetheless excited about the recognition received today by Andrzejewski, who spoke at our marquee event in 2010, and Hauser, who spoke at Big Omaha 2010 and returned to emcee the event this year. Though there are no concrete criteria for cracking the Inc. list, the 30 Under 30’s creators define it as “a group of young people who are disrupting the status quo with new products and services that are making our lives better, simpler, more meaningful, and more fun.”

No entrepreneurs from the Silicon Prairie made the list this year. Inc’s 30 last year included David Graff, Brian Kaiser and John Wirtz of Lincoln-based Hudl. As was the case when we caught up with Hudl’s co-founders around this time a year ago, the company today is growing at a blistering pace, expanding its workforce, space and client list. Keep an eye out in the coming days for more on Hudl one year after its founders cracked the 30 Under 30.
