The three Code for America fellows assigned to Kansas City are organizing an event Saturday in celebration of Code Across America, a multi-day event devoted to civic technology. The event, Kansas City Community Coffee, will be the kick off to monthly events that aim to build the future of Kansas City and the power of technology, according to the event’s website.

From 10 a.m. to noon tomorrow, the fellows – Andrew Hyder, Alison Jones and Ariel Kennan – invite the public to join them at the Ewing Marion Kauffman Foundation for an overview of the Code for America Brigade, a national network of “civic hackers,” and other activities.
