Two Lincoln SaaS companies, merged at the beginning of the year, will offer even more services to nonprofits.
Floor99, a cloud computing application services company, and Firespring, a marketing and technology provider, have always been admirers of each other, said Firespring CEO Jay Wilkinson.
Floor 99 will move Feb. 3 from its downtown Lincoln office and bring 14 employees for a combined 115 people at Firespring’s headquarters in south Lincoln, 1201 Infinity Ct.
“We’ve been following Floor99 with interest since Tom Nielsen founded the company in 2009,” Wilkinson (right) said. “Their cloud computing tools are disruptive… really cool stuff.

“The tools help small businesses and nonprofits simplify their life by giving them a simple dashboard to manage all of their SaaS and web app logins… more than 5,000 options to manage CRM, POS, VoIP, accounting, etc.”
He said Nielsen is a geek who doesn’t over-complicate everything.
“This was a great fit for the companies.”
Clients of the companies won’t notice changes right away, but over the next year the companies will be expanding their product lineup to be the most comprehensive, holistic solution on the market, Wilkinson said.
“We are building technology that allows for everything to work together—the website, event registration, online donations, donor database, accounting software—all seamlessly integrated into a simple dashboard with drop-and-drag simplicity,” he said. “The Floor99 products allow us to bundle cloud computing, help desk, VoIP and other technology services on top of our platform.
“Nonprofits will be the envy of their for-profit counterparts for their ability to easily manage their marketing, branding and technology in one powerful, yet simple interface.”
Specializing in providing nonprofits with online tools such as websites, event registration and donor management, Firespring helps more than 3,000 clients worldwide. Floor99 products provide nonprofits with cloud-based help desk services, document management, accounting systems and human resources management.
“This merger puts us several years ahead of our planned development schedule to create a holistic, 360-degree product for the nonprofit industry,” Wilkinson said. “Our clients are going to love how easy we make it for their mission-critical technologies to work together.”
The companies have no overlap in services, but several Nebraska customers in common. Floor99 will be branded as a product of Firespring and Tom Nielsen (left), the founder of Floor99, will serve as the president of the division.

Firespring was founded in 1992 and Floor99 in 2009 as a Nelnet company. In 2011, Inc. magazine featured Firespring as one of the 50 Top Small Company workplaces.
