NMotion and Gener8tor have announced a new partnership federating the two early stage accelerators.

Brian Ardinger, founder of NMotion, and Troy Vosseller, founder of Gener8tor, announced the partnership at NMotion’s sixth demo day held in Lincoln, Nebraska, (home to NMotion), on December 6th.

Gener8tor is a GOLD-tier accelerator with operations in Minnesota, Madison, and Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Gener8tor has also merged with the Brandery and provides programming in Cincinnati, Ohio.

The partnership between NMotion and Gener8tor comes on the heels of a recent announcement of OnRamp, a new insurance-focused accelerator program in Minneapolis.

Vosseller revealed the new partnership during his keynote address at the demo day in Lincoln and described a number of other programs that Gener8tor is now operating around the country. Visit www.gener8tor.com for more information.

Vosseller’s keynote address explained why building bridges across the Midwest is extremely important. He noted, for example, that 47 percent of pension and institutional money comes from the Midwest. This money is invested, primarily, in coastal firms that have only limited Midwestern investments. 12 percent of total institutional dollars are invested in the Midwest.

Moreover, he described the challenge of growing Gener8tor in a Tier 2 or Tier 3 city where expertise, connections, and venture dollars can be sparse. He cited this challenge as one of the primary reasons he co-founded Gener8tor, and it explains why the company is moving toward federated relationships such as the one with NMotion. The move signals the great need to tie similar organizations together to build the relationships that lead to customer adoption and funding sources.

This new relationship between the accelerators will help the many companies that have already passed through the NMotion program, but, in particular, the partnership will help the incoming class of entrepreneurs and the three cohorts (of five) that will enter the new program in 2019.

NMotion’s demo day was the debut party for six new firms across the industrial spectrum:

• Pawlytics
• Yumaroo
• Pincurl Girls
• Groove Watersports
• Jord Producers
• Squad Genius

These startups worked over a twelve-week period with other entrepreneurs, mentors, funders, and others to get their company off the ground. NMotion’s current director, Christina Oldfather, spoke with glowing praise of the companies and their efforts.
