DoveMed, developer of a health technology portal, raised $1.10 million in angel funding from undisclosed investors on February 13.

The company’s health information platform is designed to help users make informed and better healthcare decisions. The platform connects users, healthcare professionals, and hospitals, and is owned independently of any pharmaceutical, medical, or media companies.

Users can access DoveMed content on various mobile media devices to learn from multimedia tools such as articles, videos, and slideshows. The company is headquartered in Champaign, IL, and was founded in 2009 by Krishnarao Tangella, MD. DoveMed has satellite offices in San Francisco, Brooklyn, NY, London, Portland, OR, and Tamil Nadu, India.
