Chicago had another strong week.  Overall the Silicon Prairie more than one hundred million in fundings this month, including some large rounds in Chicago and in biotechnology.

Large Rounds (10m+)

Apervita – Chicago – $22.56 million – Apervita is a healthcare technology company that provides health insights using machine learning and artificial intelligence. Medium Rounds ($2-10mm)

Remote Year – Chicago – $5 million – Remote Year provides a year long experience to executives to work for a year while traveling the world.  The basic structure is that the executive works inside of a cohort, paying Remote Year to coordinate travel and experiences, while continuing to work for their company.  The company has raised $17 million total.  This latest round included Lightbank and Highland Capital Partners. https://www.pehub.com/2019/10/work-travel-platform-remote-year-lands-5-mln/

Mycroft AI – Kansas City – $2.34 million

Small Rounds

SalonInteractive – Chicago – $1.25 million
