You have questions about your startup, but don’t know who or where to turn. Finding trustworthy sources for the toughest problems you face can be a challenge, and doing it on a startup budget doesn’t make it any easier. There might be a solution. We hope so.

Silicon Prairie News and Missouri Bank are partnering to put on quarterly conversations in Kansas City over drinks, facilitated by entrepreneurs like yourselves, where your questions will be answered by experts in the fields to be discussed that night. It’s our joint mission to bridge the knowledge gap for you, the entrepreneurs, and help put you in position to build great companies.

It won’t cost you anything to sit down with your peers and professionals, but to join us for the Let’s Talk series you’ll have to stay tuned to @SiliconPrairie and @MissouriBank. Once we open tickets, only about a dozen will be available for each conversation so we can retain the spirit of direct, casual dialogue. You’ll have the ability to submit questions beforehand so you know your topic will be addressed.

The first conversation will take place February 26 from 4–6 p.m. at Missouri Bank’s Crossroads branch, where you’ll chat with financial and legal professionals—Fred Coulson, Five Elms Capital; Michele Weigand, Focused Perspective; and Michael Williamson, Polsinelli— and 11 of your entrepreneurial peers.

The following Let’s Talk events have been designed to directly connect the startup community with experts for future connections:

  • Feb. 26: Financing options, legal structures, strategy building
  • May 29: Human capital, strategic hires, financial incentives
  • Sept. 18: Branding, marketing, social media packaging
  • Dec. 4: IT, security, fraud prevention

Let’s talk about what’s important to you in a setting that promotes sharing what matters most to your business. We hope you’ll join us!
